SOLVED: Screen shows only "Kindle Fire" - Kindle Fire - iFixit My Kindle Fire HDX 8.9" is stuck on the "Kindle Fire" screen. I've tried a hard reset, but nothing works. I've only had it for a little over a year. $300+ wasted! On the other hand, my iPad that I've had since 2010 is still working almost good as new (a few charging issues). I should have got a new iPad.
