Edited on 8/2: As per a commenter below I very lightly spritzed my face three times with the mist, holding it about 8 inches from my face so that it dispersed in a fine, even cloud. When used in this manner the mist was reasonably refreshing and did not feel as tacky or as sticky. It provided additional hydration to the skin.
